YAARRHH.
The institute-varsity-polytechnic(IVP) tournament for taekwondo is officially over!! Though it's sad to say we only won 2 gold medals,2 silver and 2 bronze,well,at least we put in effort!:)
Dont worry though! Next year's gonna be much better! Since many confessed that it was lack of training,so what should we do about it?
TRAIN HARDER,and TRAIN MORE LA!!!(easier said than done?O.o)
haha..yes,as yong hui said,not only should we thank the senior black belters,we should not also forget the committee members and the sub-comm members! what's us without the admin staff?the welfare?logistics?treasurers,who always hound us for money?:p and maybe a few more positions that i dont remember. But most importantly,what about the team captains Sir Jonathan and Sir nelson? They tried their best to put this whole tournament together! Maybe because we are not them,we dont actually see the process of them working doubly hard,but the result is evident.
yesterday was kinda like a reality check.All of us had to give comments and our opinions personally about the tournament.WHOA. for once,i was shocked,cause many people whom i initially thought was very shy and quiet actually spoke quite a lot! for example,wee kee,grace,pei yee etc. Sorry,no offense ^^; it's just that maybe i dont hang out enough with you guys so i dont know the real you yet^^;
but the thing is,it's true that through this ivp i've got to understand others better, and i made more friends!:D Grace is right-we should hate each other,but love each other.What's the point then,if we all hate each others' guts and make this club fall apart? Honestly,i guess this is the only CCA that gives me a sense of belonging,like we're in a Big big family.
Perhaps we've had bonding,but if you feel that it's not enough,there's always space and time for more bonding! Chalets,BBQs,outings,TKD blog etc. There,i gave suggestions. i know Guoshu is trying her best,always being friendly and trying to socialize and bond all of us.
GUoshu,take care and come back soon after your trip k?:)
hmmmm.
as for the competition(pattern), all the teams-ee jung,sa jung,o jung, all tried their best. You all have trained hard,so good work1:) though we didnt win,it's okay,because it's the process that matters:)
for the sparring people,all of you did well. maybe to other spectators you may seem to be entertainment, and i know there is extreme nervousness and anxiety before stepping into the arena,but you all kept your cool and gave it all you've got.
Sometimes,i just feel like whacking and slamming the shit out of the opponents,in you all's place.
if it was me,i would be glad for the cheers for the school,but when people scream,"go go! 1 more kick! why are you stoning?!?! right/left leg!!!" that kinda instructions,will make me utterly pissed. Even though i was fighting,i got mad when the people around started shouting what to do.
HEEELLLLOOO.who's fighting here? you pin all your hopes on the fighters,and want to push them somemore by telling them what to do? what rights do you have to do that?Since you cant be down there fighting,then shut the hell up and let the fighters do what they WANT to do.
Cant you spectators see the coaches at both edges of the mat? THEY will know what to tell the fighters. only THEY have the right to tell them what to do,how to improve.
*breathe~*
anyway,NTU is being marked down by all the other schools. Haha..let's do our best next year!:)
